Department Information

The Dayton ISD Maintenance Department maintains seven educational campuses, the Will O. Moore Central Administration office, the Greg Hayman Educational Center, shops, and sports facilities. We also have initiated a central custodial distribution center which has shown to cut costs of supplies needed to keep our schools clean and tidy.  We are utilizing a state of the art energy management system to schedule, control, monitor, and trouble shoot HVAC and lighting systems throughout the district via the World Wide Web.  In addition to these physical sites, we also oversee the maintenance and repairs of various lawn care equipment, tractors, brush hogs, trailers, and assorted heavy equipment.

Our primary goal to the district's taxpayers is to provide efficient and cost-effective building maintenance, grounds maintenance and housekeeping programs that will create a climate of learning within each school facility.  We pledge to YOU (Principal, Teacher, Administrator, Support Staff, Student, and Taxpayer) to look at the most efficient ways of managing our resources, and to ensure you that all personnel of this department are able to work miracles in ways that enable us to keep the doors open and do a remarkable job in spite of overwhelming odds to simply keep things running.
